Ran it on the box hosting the CRM install and it functioned as expected.

I got this, too, but I'm running on 64-bit, and the exception message was BadImageFormatException, which is indicative that some assemblies are x86, but the main .exe was compiled as AnyCPU. Will download the source code to find out.

I am running this on Windows 7 (64 bit) and getting the following error:
System.BadImageFormatException was unhandled

To enable assembly bind failure logging, set the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog] (DWORD) to 1.
Note: There is some performance penalty associated with assembly bind failure logging.
To turn this feature off, remove the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog].

Is this a known issue ?
